Lethbridge Fish and Game Association (LFGA) has supported the Alberta Conservation Association (ACA) – Turkey Relocation Project with donations of $5,000. 00. It’s important that we help ACA improve the data to evaluate the effectiveness of this program. This may be used a measure of success affecting future involvement of ACA. If there are more turkeys then LFGA can encourage the Alberta Government through Alberta Wildlife Association (AWF formerly AFGA) and ACA to increase the allocations. Here is the link…

LFGA Volunteers in Action – Wildlife

Hello Folks,  LFGA through our great volunteers completed many projects. Here is a picture of Fred Watmough and Frank Pawlak releasing pheasants. Vic Stasiuk and I have also worked on this Alberta Conservation Association project.  Along with 4H clubs we are also providing funds to release hens during the mating season. What a weekend!

What a weekend!

Our Club’s diversity really showed this weekend as we had four events going on involving club members. A team of LFGA Volunteers working with the ACA has started releasing Pheasants in our region as of the end of last week/weekend. The LFGA Open Sight-In Clinic was heavily attended including a large number of non member hunters sighting in their rifles.  This Clinic is always a favorite and is provided as a Public Safety Service to promote firearm safety and ethical hunting….
