RIFLE  PROGRAMS and ACTIVITIES
Many of these educational activities are supported by LFGA Casino funds and grants from the Alberta Conservation Association

PUBLIC SIGHT-IN-CLINIC

Each year, prior to the hunting season, LFGA puts on two (2) sight-in-clinics for the membership as well as the general public.  We do this to ensure that the guns that are out in the field, that have passed through our clinics, are in the best possible condition to ensure a safe and ethical harvest of the game animals.  We not only teach the shooter the proper method to sight in the gun, but check on the overall workings and maintenance of the firearm.  The clinics will run on two Saturdays, September 16, 2023 and October 14, 2023 from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.  No pre-registration is required.  Just show up with your firearm and ammo and we can help you from there.  Hope to see you all out there to get your firearm in good working condition for the fall hunt.

JUNIOR RIFLE PROGRAM

Rifle target shooting can be a safe, exciting, fun lifetime sport. Why not learn from a qualified instructor in an environment that ensures safety? Lethbridge Fish and Game Association is offering a free rifle shooting experience to anyone 17 years or younger (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). A qualified LFGA instructor will provide a one-on-one firearm experience and a safe place to try target shooting. Your instructor will provide basic firearm safety instruction and will then show you how to operate a bolt- action rifle. For those who express an interest and wish to continue, they will be invited to participate in a junior rifle league starting TBA. The instructor donates his time and LFGA , with the financial support of the Alberta Conservation Association, covers all costs for equipment and supplies.

2023 Program will run on Monday nights,  June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. from 6:00 to 8:00.

Max kids allowed would be 12. And the kids should be between the ages of 10 to 17 years of age.
