October 16 is a big-day! First, please go out and vote(or better yet, vote in an advance poll). The next advance poll is today, October 11, at the U of L  10 am to 8 pm. Second, please attend the LFGA meeting, 7 pm at the LFGA clubhouse (corner 9th ave & 10th St South) for the Special Resolution meeting on our new Objects and Bylaws.

Over a month ago, we posted the proposed final version. Since then we have heard from you with suggestions to make these documents even clearer – Thanks!

The one called “Member suggested enhancements….” lists your suggestions.

1) Change “Objects” to “Objectives”.  Corporate Registry calls them “Objects”, the form we submit to change them or replace them refers to “Objects”.  I think making this change will cause our new Objects and Bylaws to be rejected.  Not a hill I want to ” die on”, do you?

2) One member wanted us to extend a membership issued late in the year… say November to include all of the following year.  So, as an example, a November, 2017 membership purchase would provide a membership that expires December 31, 2018.

I like the idea…. but that would force us to pay fees to Alberta Fish and Game Association twice on one membership sale – just not feasible in my opinion.
