Candidate Questions
1. Do you support community-led organizations like the LFGA in their efforts to promote conservation, ethical hunting, and responsible firearms use for sport and education?
I fully support the LFGA.
2. In your view, what role should the City of Lethbridge play in protecting access to outdoor spaces for recreation, conservation, and education? How will municipal policies ensure that legal, permitted outdoor recreational facilities, such as shooting sports ranges, are recognized and protected as part of the broader community landscape, and not unfairly impacted by land use changes such as urban growth or rezoning?
These areas are vital to the recreation and education of the community as a whole and must be preserved for use. We should view these as ESSENTIAL SPACES and not to be impacted or eroded with any future development or bylaw land rezoning.
3. Should recreational activities such as sport shooting and archery receive equal consideration alongside other sports in municipal planning and recreation policy? Would you support including representatives from these sports as formal stakeholders in long-term discussions around recreation, land use, and community health planning?
Yes, these activities should always be included along with other sports and with stakeholders at the table for planning and delivery to the community. I believe these activities should also be introduced in schools to students at a young age (elementary) as it broadens perspective, appreciation and education to help shape youth in a positive manner, away from digital technology.
4. Do you personally participate in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, archery, or shooting sports? If so, please share how those experiences shape your views on land use and recreation. YES! I am an avid lover of archery and bowhunting. I am also a participant of fishing (ice and recreational lake/river). This is a deep connection I hold to nature, harmony, preservation, and conservation as part of traditional living. The importance of the land and wildlife to urban communities is critical to all of us for a healthy world.
5. In one or two sentences: Why do you believe you are the best candidate to support organizations like LFGA and the values we represent?
I believe I am the best candidate to support LFGA because I align with the tradition, values, and participation in balancing the best of recreation and conservation.
6. Is there anything else you’d like our membership to know about your views on outdoor recreation, conservation, or supporting legal firearm owners.
I FULLY SUPPORT LEGAL FIREARMS AND AM LOOKING INTO GETTING MY PAL IN SPRING 2026 RIGHT HERE IN LETHBRIDGE.
