We want everyone to get involved and help us showcase the people, activities, and events that have made up 100 years of the Lethbridge Fish & Game Association.

As many of you are aware, we will be celebrating the Lethbridge Fish & Games’ 100th year serving Lethbridge and Southern Alberta! There will be a lot of ways to get involved and we will be posting on our social media and sending members emails of volunteer opportunities, contests, and events so please keep your eyes open for those, you won’t want to miss them!

Today we’d like your help! We are asking our members past and present to send us digital copies of photos, news articles, etc. related to the history of the Lethbridge Fish & Game Association.

We have set up a special email account just to receive your submissions, it is [email protected] (please don’t miss the dot/period between the ‘A’ and the number ‘1’

We are not just looking for images from long ago, but also from new members who may have something they want to share from recent history. Everyone can participate in this once-in-history event! We hope to build the largest digital collection of our community’s shared experiences as we will be sharing these images back to the community in a number of exciting and moving ways throughout our celebrations. Some will be chosen to be printed on banners and other physical media but all those that have been submitted and meet the requirements will be available online and saved for future generations to view and enjoy!

What are the requirements?
The photos must be directly related to the Lethbridge Fish and Game, its activities, and members at some time in our 100 Year history.

The photos should be submitted in an uncompressed, high-resolution format and only those sent to [email protected] will be accepted. If however you have a historic photo or item and are unable to take a high-quality digital photograph you may email Michelle Sylvestre, LFGA Secretary and 100 Year Celebration Committee Coordinator at [email protected] to arrange to have a volunteer photographer meet with you to digitize the photograph or item if possible. Please DO NOT send images to Michelle, only requests.

Include a written explanation with your image with as much detail as possible. Include the 5 Ws – Who, When, Where, What (is happening) Why (is it part of our history).

This is truly an amazing opportunity to be included and represented in the 100 Year history of the Lethbridge Fish & Game! If you know people who were members but are not current members who may not see this, please share it with them but be sure to explain that ONLY material sent to [email protected] will be included.

Terms – by submitting any images or written material to [email protected] you are giving the LFGA and it’s representatives the rights to use the material submitted in any way to promote and or represent the Lethbridge Fish & Game Association in digital format, print material, signage, social media posts, or fundraising activities. Any funds or other benefits deriving from the use of submitted material will belong to the Lethbridge Fish & Game to be used as the elected Executive of the club see fit in accordance with our bylaws and stated goals. NOTE – restrictions beyond those described here and beyond our control may prevent us from including all material.
