The Shotgun Range (Range 6) is adequately equipped with birds and throwers for anyone who wishes to make prior arrangements to access them. Simply send an email and a volunteer will be happy to operate this equipment for you and your party at a mutually convenient time.

- All range users MUST be LF&G range members or possess valid day passes and carry same when on the range.
- The normal equipment used at this range and the normal operation of this range is indicated in the following descriptions.
- On an exception basis (pre-approved matches or range bookings) the use of other equipment may be allowed
- At all other times these rules are in force.

Approved Ammunition: Shot shells – #6 or less (the number must be 6 or higher) – No single projectiles (slugs) allowed.
Range Rules
- No firing before 8 AM (9 AM ON Sunday’s) and no firing after sunset or 9 PM (whichever is earlier).
- No firing if target visibility is reduced as determined by the Range Officer.
- Turn ON the RED light while the range is active.
- Use approved firearms and ammunition only.
- Use only frangible clay targets that are launched into the air.
- When using personal throwers set up between the skeet and trap range only.
- When firing the muzzle direction must always be down range
- Loaded firearms are allowed only at an active firing line. Loaded firearms shall never be left unattended.
- Do not move or transport loaded firearms between ranges, vehicles or firearm safety areas.
- Unattended firearms shall be unloaded with the action left open.
- Shooters not actively on a firing point will have their gun’s actions open, with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and the gun will be empty.
- Guns will only be loaded after the shooter takes a position on one of the firing points.
- Only one (1) shell will normally be in the firearm unless the rules of play require more than one shell. Rule Eliminated August 20, 2013
- Hearing protection for shooters and range staff in near proximity to an active firing line is mandatory.
- Eye protection for shooters and range staff in near proximity to an active firing point is mandatory.
- All spent hulls must be collected and disposed of in containers provided or removed from range.
- At the conclusion of each and every use of the range, all firing points are to be cleared of hulls and debris, and RED light turned off.
- At no time are glass, pop cans or similar items allowed to be targets on the range facility.
- The detonation of explosive devices is prohibited on the range property.
- Burning of garbage is prohibited. All garbage is to be collected, bagged and taken to the garbage bin located at the main gate or otherwise removed from the range property.
- The post with the arrow indicates the west most target area on the southern berm.
