As your advocate I will listen to you the taxpayer, review the facts, and help you resolve your city concern.

I will ask is this the best way to achieve long term sustainability?  What is effective for you the taxpayer?

I have a passion for our community, good governance, and giving a straight forward answer.

I will stand up for what is right and make tough decisions based on what is best for you the taxpayers.

Good governance is the key to sustainability

• Conference / Performing Arts Centre will create jobs, grow local businesses as visitors eat, shop, and stay in Lethbridge.

•  I love Lethbridge. It would be an honour and privilege to serve as your city councillor.

•  Better roads: extending Metis Trail, traffic flow to ATB & Leisure Centre, finish twinning University Drive to Paradise Canyon.

•  Healthy community to live, work and raise your family.

•  Sustainable spending = low residential and business property taxes. I care about the property taxes.

My Experience

• I am dedicated and knowledgeable. 25 years experience in theprovincial government working with people to resolve issues.

•  Worked for Cabinet Minister Clint Dunford who served in 3 majordepartments with billion dollar budgets.

•  I have a clear understanding of the time and hard work it takes for good governance and sustainability.

*Do you support the continued operation of the Lethbridge Fish & Game Shooting Sports Facility in its current location in Pennaquim Park?

Yes

*Do you believe the City of Lethbridge has an obligation to residents by assisting the Lethbridge Fish and Game Association provide a safe, controlled environment to use firearms?

Yes a safe place to use fire arms is important for community safety to ensure no stray bullets leave range.

For some citizens shooting is recreation for others it is a competitive sport. We need a safe facility so that people can train and enjoy their chosen sport.

*Do you agree that the LFGA Shooting Sports Facility represents an important community sport and recreation resource? *

Yes According to your information the range is also great economic developer for our business community as LFGA hosts a variety of events through out the year.  Any time we can bring people to the city – that is great for local business.

They are a recognized National and International sport and need to be treated as such, especially given that LFG is also involved in FAC and permit training.

*Do you believe that the LFGA Shooting Sports Facility should be treated differently than other sporting venues by the City of Lethbridge? If so, how?*

Yes LFGA has to meet provincial and federal FAC regulations.  No other sporting facility has to meet the same requirements.

*What is your position on ethical hunting and our need to support modern methods of wildlife management.*

I believe that ethical hunting and wildlife management would work well together to ensure healthy herds. Our family were fall hunters for birds and some game in years gone by at the family farm.

*How would you support the extensive conservation, environment protection and revitalization, and wildlife management programs we provide?*

Financial support is always the key to program growth. In 1983 I was the supervising parent for 30 youth from Taber at the Hunter Education program at Camp Caroline.

*Have you ever worked with the LFGA in the past and what was your experience?*

When I worked for Clint Dunford, MLA Lethbridge West, LFGA applied for and received provincial funding for facility upgrades.  LFGA was great to with and it was a pleasure to support the LFGA and their efforts.
