LFGA Volunteers needed to help the ACA with the Taber Pheasant Hunt

Hello Folks

Alberta Conservation Association is looking for volunteers to help out at the Taber Pheasant Festival Novice Shoot, which happens Saturday, Oct 19th and 20th, specifically at the ‘pheasant cleaning table’ where the novices bring their birds to get cleaned after harvesting them. The volunteers explain how to clean the bird (with a feathered wing for legal transport) and assist them at the same time. ACA staff will provide instruction to the volunteers on the whole process just so we can maintain consistency.

All tools and materials will be provided there of course, and volunteers could even shoot some clays at the end of the day, and if they have their pheasant license (and as long as there are some birds left over) could even have the chance to shoot a couple birds! If we could get one to two volunteers for each day (more would be great!), it would help out our staff greatly!

Volunteers can contact Julie Landry-Deboer (ACA staff/Event organizer) directly:
