Members Privileges Cancelled
My deepest respect and appreciation go out to all the great Range Officers who volunteer and maintain the safety of your shooting community.
Unfortunately, not all of us are diligent. I have cancelled a members range privileges and am considering legal options for their repeated offences. The consequences may be very serious and may affect their ability to own firearms.
Last weekend this individual was identified using an AR .223 carbine on Range 4 and previously they were using an SKS with steel core ammo on Range 3 after it was closed. Both of these are centerfire cartridges. These repeated offences show a total disregard for our standards.
Members should know that Range 3 is closed and Range 4 is only designed for rimfire rifles and handguns. All centerfire rifle/carbine activity is limited to Range 2. Please observe the activities of those around you and help them understand their responsibilities.
I really don’t want to have to deny people’s access to the range or affect their firearm privileges but will take action when it is appropriate.
Please take time to review the rules prior to using your ranges. Take time to read the signs on the doors. Your shooting community depends on all of us to participate in enforcing our rules and acting responsibly. Mistakes could seriously affect all 1700 members. Thank you.

I would like all Range Officers to challenge others using the range to make sure that everyone is either a Range Officer or accompanied by a Range Officer. They should have a 2018 membership email and a Range gate card. This is critical with our gate issues.
Day Passes are required for all adult non-members. They are available online, at Marksman and on the range gate office. People on the ranges without these could be charged with trespassing.
Thank you again for all your volunteer efforts and diligence. Your shooting community depends on you.
