In memory Of Dr. Keith Crawford

It is with heavy hearts that the LFGA executive announces the recent passing of a long
time and valued member, Dr. Keith Crawford. Keith (81) was survived by 5 children and
11 grandchildren. We share in their profound loss. Keith was an active outdoorsman
who enjoyed and participated in fishing, hunting and conservation endeavours. He
especially enjoyed hunting upland birds and waterfowl. He belonged to the CNSCA and
was an “A” shooter. Keith and friends enjoyed many hunting trips and shared comradery
and many laughs. Many members would know Keith from his active volunteerism and
contributions to Range 6 where he organized challenging trap, skeet and sporting clays
events.
Keith spent many hours maintaining the shotgun range. He was an active mentor with
new shooters, youth, corporate events and post secondary groups. Keith also
volunteered significant time to new and inexperienced hunters for upland bird game
hunts. No weather would ever stop him from shooting. Keith was very competitive and
the smile on his face could always be seen when he outshot others.
Keith had many close relationships. He had a great sense of humour and had a sharp
quip ready. Keith was compassionate, caring, generous, passionate and so much fun to
be around. Keith was a man of honour and approached life with common sense. He
was calm and collected until he wasn’t. Keith deeply missed his beloved wife, Donna,
but he chose to stay active and keep busy with activities he loved. Anyone who knows
Keith knows exactly what he is doing right now. He is on his way to his next 100 straight
or hunting birds. There are a million stories and a million laughs that were shared by
those who knew and loved Keith. Farewell to a great person, a great mentor and an
even better friend to those of us lucky enough to know him.
