Hello ScottThese are very good questions

I am an active member of the Fort Whoop Black Powder Club, Both my wife and and I Love shooting

1) Do you support the continued operation of the Lethbridge Fish & Game Shooting Sports Facility in the current location in Pennaquim Park?   Lethbridge Fish and Game is a PROUD organisation and they are essential for new shooters and experienced shooters

2) The Federal government has said it will place the choice of banning handguns in the hands of municipalities. Lethbridge has an extremely active handgun sport-related community and culture. Would you support banning handguns in Lethbridge? Why or why not?   I have handguns and like I said before both my wife and I Love shooting all types and styles of guns

3) Do you believe a ban on so-called ‘assault-style weapons’ that were legally owned by law-abiding people involved in shooting sports makes our communities safer?   Remember guns are only a safe as their owners and being a member of a gun club teaches everyone how to safely operate and store their guns

4) Do you understand the process of becoming a licensed firearm owner in Canada? Do you have a PAL or RPAL?Yes I do and  I have RPAL

5) Have you experienced sport shooting or ethical hunting yourself?  What do you think are the key points to ethical hunting?   Ethical hunting as taught by Lethbridge Fish and Wildlife teaches Hunters the safety and skills on how to hunt. Respect is very important when out on other peoples land

6) Have you used the Lethbridge Fish & Game Associations Shooting Sports Facility or been involved in any of our many conservation projects or activities?   I took my safety course from Lethbridge Fish and Wildlife and obtained my Pal and my restricted courses from a Lethbridge Fish and Wildlife official

7) Do you support the City’s financial support of facility upgrades at the LFGA Shooting Sports Facility?    I think that any support that a club can get from the city or province is good

8) Do you support the statement that the Lethbridge Fish and Game Association Shooting Sports Facility and related organizations represent an important community sport and recreation resource in our community?   I know that both my family and I are all active shooters, and many young shooters come along and learn the proper rules and safety of shooting

9) Do you believe that the LFGA Shooting Sports Facility should be treated differently than other sporting venues by the City of Lethbridge. If so, how?   The only difference is our sport is more dangerous than other sports

10) The LFGA on behalf of its members donates thousands of dollars, and thousands of hours into conservation and habitat yearly. Do you feel this is important at the municipal level and are you involved in any of these activities or do you support wildlife conservation and habitat protection in other ways?
I believe this is very important, I am a range officer, and believe in education and respect for our wildlife, and others
